The reality is that TB prides himself in his work yet has always secretly desired to put out 'shit content' like 90% of gaming channels on YouTube. He's seen how successful putting out 200+ happy wheels videos is, for example, and somewhat regrets not being so completely shitty himself.Today marks his first foray into the ever-popular 'Look at me rage xD' style videos. His emotions are pretty much 100% completely fake.

Hotel dash suite success game. I mean, seriously, think about it for a second. Why should TB even give a shit about how he performs in this game? He's not planning on completing it or anything; he's just showcasing it to us. His performance does nothing to dictate the completion of that goal. MAYBE, if he were like you and me, his 'rage xD' would be understandable - that is, if you find yourself yelling nonsense as you play your vidya like an autistic person, but he's not in a situation like you or me.

50+ videos Play all Mix - I Wanna Be The Guy Gaiden - OST 2 (GUX - GOING COMMANDO) YouTube Bionic Commando (NES) Music - Area 5 - Duration: 3:01. GBelair 63,388 views.

His goal is to just play the game long enough to get enough footage for a 20 video.Normally, his commentary is fairly informative. He didn't even fucking say Kayin's name. This is clear YouTube pandering; that is, he's appealing to the YouTube crowd that gets giddy over 'rage xD' and can't tell when something is being forced. He's forcing it, there's no mistaking it. Ding ding ding, we have a winner.

Well, mostly, here's a few areas where you went wrong.1) It's not the first time I've done it. The first time I did it was with the Super Meatboy video over a year ago. That video did super well. I also did it with Super Crate Box and to some degree Stealth Bastard.2) I'm not faking my emotions I'm exaggerating them. No, videogames don't make me want to kill myself, no I'm not going to throw my keyboard against the wall, it's just a stupid freeware game that I'll never have to play again but to say I was not frustrated would be a lie.

It's calling hamming it up and yes it's what every Youtuber does in these situations. The Rage Quit guy is not genuinely that angry, PewDiePie is not genuinely that scared. People want entertainment which is often at least partially fictional.3) I actually think this is the best and perhaps only way to showcase I Wanna be the Guy. What other way is there? There really is nothing wrong with pandering every now and again. A bunch of people on Reddit were bitching that I'm not funny, so I did a funny video. Funny videos are easy, anyone can do this shit. Hey look, it's what people want, the video will be super successful and make me a lot of money.

I won't do another one, it's consistent with the format of WTF is ie. 1 video and never again. There are times when you have to shake up the channel every now and again to keep things fresh. Sometimes that means doing a dumb video. It was midnight after flying back from the west coast that same day, nothing smart was getting said.I am kind of disappointed that viewers would lap this stuff up so readily but at the end of the day Youtube is extremely predictable and easy to exploit.

Game

The hard part is keeping an audience when the majority of what you do is the antithesis of short, dumb, easy to digest content. I agreed that this is a rather interesting departure from his normal videos, in that there was little information provided about the game itself other than it's difficulty level. I do also understand that the chance that this video was a first impressions kind of video is rather low as well, as I can't imagine taking a one-shot video (unless it's a VLOG, but even then I might start over) and sticking it up on youtube to be berated at, especially when you're planning on giving out information about the game, but then again, that was lacking from this video.
